Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) and Cyprus News Agency (CNA) signed a cooperation agreement to exchange news and photos, Chairman of the Board and Director General of KUNA Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij Al-Ibrahim Al-Sabah announced Tuesday. The agreement was signed at Bayan Palace in the presence of His Highness the Deputy the Amir and Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades. Sheikh Al-Duaij said that the agreement shed light on facilitating a cooperative framework between the two agencies, which focuses on following up on the latest development in world and regional news as well as covering visits by officials from Kuwait and Cyprus. The agreement also targets the sharing of information and archival material as well as exchange of visits among the two agencies' staff members, he added. For his part, CNA chief Larkos Larkou, said after signing the agreement that such move would boost bilateral cooperation and achieve common goals for both agencies, stressing the necessity of putting the agreement in place as soon as possible. Larkou thanked Sheikh Al-Duaij for inviting him to visit the country next month to follow up on the implementation of this agreement.
